David Gallagher, former Character Development Supervisor at Blue Sky Studios, has founded
a new online school, using Softimage (& Maya) to teach students online all around the world.
Two 21-month certificate programs: 3D Animation and 3D Character (modeling and rigging)
Seven terms of classes can bring students from the simplest animation exercises to advanced character
acting and movement or from modeling simple forms to most appealing characters and complex facial rigs.
Terms are 11 weeks, and students can join any quarter of the year. Individual classes are also offered for
those wanting to boost their skills and career by learning directly from industry pros.
Over 30 modelers, riggers, and animators from top studios teach, guide and lecture at the school
School instruction comes in two forms: Live online instruction & reviews in an interactive environment where
students meet and interact together with immediate feedback from their chosen instructor, as well as
pre-recorded instruction from other top professionals. The personal interaction with the highest-level talent
allows students to quickly improve their skills and prepare demo reels for jobs in the animation industry.

AnimSchool emphasizes appealing characters. Students will have access to film-quality characters to learn
from and animate with. Animators love using AnimSchool character rigs and character artists gain in-depth
knowledge about appealing expressions and aesthetics.
Besides English, classes are held in Spanish and Portuguese as well. Classes begin April 4th, 2011.
