We got another short online since our last update but we never posted it. So I do now:

HI Ilja..!

Very nice work..! I like this kind of "strange" story...can you tell a bit more how you came to this plot..??
The render is very cool to. Very moody look you achieved here ,)

Looking forward to some more about "making of" at the "SOFTIMAGE Uebertage 2009" meeting in September..!

Thanks for the nice Feedback.


Tom came up with the plot and convinced us to execute it. Here's the board he showed us. Kind of weird. :)

About the blood:

we did it with a particle simulation and meshed it with the metaball plugin of michele santoni. We tried it with ICE but the plugin only worked with the old xsi particles.
But a lot of the detail work is done with ice.....I love it so much.....in my opinion it's changing everything. There are so many new option how to achieve certain things.....it's just beautiful :)

This is really awesome ! Love the concept and the mood .. gr8 work !
One thing I wanna comment on is the aspect ratio of the film, I'm not one of the geeks who go for widescreen just cause it looks kewl :) , I mean.. many classic films were done in 4:3 & they looked gr8 ! It's just that I think a widescreen would've probably contributed to the mood of the piece.
Nonetheless.. It's awesome and I still love it :ymhug:
