Hi all,
has someone an idea how to make a kind of spring force on the rotation property of particles.
I want to realize somethink like grass that would be triggerd to rotate in one direrction and the swing back and forth with some damping factor.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Nico

Re: rotational spring force?
Hi
for relative small angles, you can 'fake' it by using some kind of direction constraint. Just rotate vector by Direction To Rotation node or something. This setup is built in that way. And it's using just an animated turbulence instead of simulation, I'd believe this is a frequent method for 'simulating' grass.
Of course it's just direction constraint, rotation will 'fade' at high angles
For some 'exact' angular velocity setup in ICE, I would be interested too.

Re: rotational spring force?
Thank you for your replie.
I will try if it is possible to fake with some turbulance node.
Maybe someone knows some angular velocity setup in ICE .... would be great!
