strand tree option?
hi im new to softimage (2011) im working on some tree simulation,im not geting strand tree option is it default or plugin

I've moved this post as I'm guessing it's better placed in the ICE subforum.
But to try to answer your question: Could you perhaps explain a little bit better, what you're trying to achieve? Strands are definitively a normal part of ICE, not a plug-in...

hi i got the strand tree plug in , but in that im not getting the simulate tree & Move tree nodes , what is the problem , in some tutor they have showed by connecting simulate tree & Move tree nodes we can simulate the object how to get simulate tree & Move tree nodes (is it other plug in ?) (does it works as relastic tree )

I saw the tutorial on Fabricio's website. It seems the simulation part is still a work in progress. Maybe he'll contact you since you left a note on his page.

Hi kalas,
as Reinhard stated, trees simulation are still a wip. I've attached the test scene (same from video) so that you can take a look inside and maybe change it to fit your needs. *warning: not an easy task! =)

no, since strandtree is based on strands, and maya does not import strands.
you could bake all the sim to mesh, then import and obj sequence, but this would be a very slow and ineficient setup. sorry
