I´ve been thinking, if I should take some time to post post no comment either.
I decided to do so.

I read two time all this page, but I don't find a Softimage in any part. So, SI is not a 3d computer graphic software :D
Ok, i don't want be polemic because this article don't talk about many other software in autodesk arsenal (so, look like autodesk sell only 3dsm and a bits of maya license... @-)

the purpose of 3December isn't about showing off particular software. It's about celebrating the work done by our customers.

Ideally we would love to show as much of our software being used as possible and if we can, we will. But sometimes its just not possible. It's not always easy to find people who can do it, or even want to.
We normally do localised events in places like London, NY, Paris, etc, but I don't think we were able to this year.

Hi Bellsey,
thanks for your reply. But really no one studio based on Softimage would like collaborate with you and show its works? I think it is a good exposure.

Wow, Hirazi has the unnatural power of telepathically remember to autodesk the XSI importance :D

I don't handle or manage 3December, so I can't really comment.
But also you have to take into consideration that sometimes people are busy, and can't do anything. And also they may have to respect the wishes of their clients as well, when it comes to showing work.

It will be very interesting in how they handle that and what they decide to show, considering, if I am not mistaken, they cannot show something that will be released unless it will infact be released in the same fiscal quarter that it is announced...nonetheless, looking forward to it, and great to see that the adjustment was made on the marketing page.

For those of you interested in the streamed event from Montreal, which is scheduled on the 2nd of December between 6 and 8 p.m. EST, the following info by Jason Brynford-Jones AKA Chinny might be worth noting:
I think the prezos go from 6-8pm EST
I am scheduled to go on at 7pm for 20mins
If you're not living in the EST timezone, this Time Zone Converter might come in handy. ;)

Disregard...finally came back up. :)

Secondly, I have to say that the future of ICE Geometry looks quite impressive.
