Just saw this at the Autodesk Area and IMHO it's definitively well worth watching.
"Vestige" by Florian Witzel became the Siggraph 2009 Computer Animation Festival Opening Animation.

Stunning work.
And Siggraph..... Wish I could go this year, but the economy thingy has put a lock on my wallet I'm afraid. Would love to go there, as it is in New Orleans as well.
