Softimage trial issue

Hi,
I would like install softimage 2011 trial on my friend PC, but I have many trouble about.
Softimage install start smooth, but when try install .net framework 3.5 sp1 appear a red X, go away and install correctly softimage. When restart, after installation, softimage receive this message:

Error: there is no interactive license available softimage

it is installed .net framework 4, so I think softimage don't install 3.5 because is older release.
I tried unistal and install three time, but nothing to do, I receive the some error message.

Any idea about?

What does it say in %TEMP%\Autodesk_Softimage_IF.log ?

Ok, I find the file in temp fold.

I find the file, and open it. Don't nothing so important (all done, apart installation Framework 3.5 sp1, Failed Failure is ignored, result=1603

Only framework signal a failure message (as below report), the other ones are all positive message , like this one:

install autodesk softimage 2011 64 bit succeeded

But XSI don't start, and give us the error message...

Do you get this error:

Error: there is no interactive license available

or this:

Error: there is no interactive network license available


It makes a difference for the troubleshooting.

in any case don't work... now I try download Maya (as suggest in XSI base), install this trial and try again
and another similar on Area but it was a 3dsmax issue.

It is really strange, because I have the some machine, but with a different VGA. My friend pc is new and he install windows 7 64 only yestarday

Ok, after installed Maya 2011 (indeed nice interface) install again XSI and now it work correctly...
