For what it's worth, I have not heard anything about Softimage Subscription Advantage Pack (aka 2011.5) being released today.

As the press release said "on or after Sept 29" ...

We already know about legal issues surrounding the announcement and the release date ("Sarbanes-Oxley", I believe). But please feel free to elaborate about the legal and business reasons surrounding the mystery of the actual release date.

you have answered your own question. I can't elaborate any more than what we're already said in the past, many times, in many posts.

There really is no need to keep going over this and splitting hairs over releases dates. We've announced the subscriptions releases, they're coming, that's it. On or after the date in the press releases.
Be patient, no one is going to miss out, providing of course you're on subscription.

I guess there are two stances versus the people working at Autodesk and the ones waiting for the release to come out, which is understandable. I really wish it was going to be released at the same time as the Max and Maya ones which was today. My subscription runs out on the 9th of October, so I was hoping to give it a quick test run before I decide to renew or not...
