To make me "come back", Autodesk had to do much more than making Maya more user-friendly. They had to change their "business strategy", meaning that they had to become innovative instead of killing innovation by buying out innovative products/companies and then bury those products shortly after acquisition. They would have to create a vision about how DCC creation could look like in the future, how to make our lives easier, how to make creating things more fun than ever before. They would have to become passionate about their products, not their sales and marketing.
Autodesk had the chance to convince me, that they would care about their customers, that they would listen to them, but over the last 3 years, after me pushing up 2000€ up their fat a**es for 3 years of subscription extension, SI development slowed down until the final kick in the balls.
I would rather change business completely, breeding sled dogs or whatever, before buying/renting/licensing any Autodesk product again.
