xsisupport wrote:Looks to me like a problem with VBScript on your system, so you may have been right about a missing registry entry. It's not a missing Softimage entry, but a missing VBScript entry (see the comments on that post I linked to).

Try running some VBScript on your system:

echo Wscript.echo "My very first script." > %TEMP%\test.vbs
cscript %TEMP%\test.vbs
now i see this
Yes, as I expected. VBScript is not working on your system. You'll never run Softimage until you fix that.

Look under

Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}

This might help also: sfc -scannow
Or an ordinary System Restore.
It would however be wise to look at your currently installed software to see
what could be causing this, to prevent it from happening again...

@hardgore

backup your registry before you do any modification to it (better be safe than sorry)

Expend the regedit list to find the proper list entry ImprocServer32. It look like you are trying to modify the top entry. See my screen grab for reference.

make sure you have the administrator rights to edit the registry (if you read some of the comments from xsisupport link they point to how to do it). If you are not in administrator mode or the administrator, you will be denied any modification.

Now redo XSISupport startup crash test and post a screen grab.

Try this as well:

And don't forget the runonce

Did you uninstall Avast. Apparently it has a feature called "script shield" which may be preventing you from fixing the problem.

Did you try one of these options?
BTW: Am I correct that you're on a 64 bit machine?
