VFX demonstration at the Oscars

My personal opinion, is that I don't like subsidies at all, regardless of what country is doing it, as it undermines the free-market.

Apologies then, i was thinking that you were blasting them just because the results weren't good for US.

No problem, it is all good. I was just relaying, or trying to explain the situation better from what I was reading - it seems to be more of a complicated matter with no easy solution.

I think you may be right Pancho.

You can imagine the discussion at the magazine. "Hey these guys make VFX using computers so they must be like hacking whizz kids aswell! They could even hack into the power grid and cut off electricity to every cinema playing Life of Pi!!! What a scoop!"

On a serious note. Maybe somebody had a quiet word and pointed out the absurdity of what they had written.

EDIT: For those who didn't read the article. It basically stated that disgruntled VFX workers may be planning to hack into their employers systems and erase all the assets. How this would help them or indeed how they would even do it was not covered.
