it's not in the area of excellence

I am hoping for the best with the new team and the new release. Without the release of an SAP this past year, I am expecting some nice "show-stopper" results...I hope I am not proven wrong...

Thanks for the post. Nice to see Softimage right in the mix with the sneak-peeks.

-That does seem like a handy feature, especially for quickly blocking scenes.

agreed... good extension of other softimage editing capabilities, plus nice to see it amongst those other two softwares that shall rename unnamed

maybe we should expect weekly updates? who knows...
in any way, so far it looks like a more planned out release, which from a marketing point of view is a lot better. you dont make people waste theire time with stuff that gets little visibility.

So why do Mr. Entertainment and 3D Roadie offer the exact same tech preview content?
"Efficiency"? Lack of internal communication?
So, who's slipping now?
:D

Who is copying who ?
Grease Pencil looks good in Maya, as for Softimage the sneak peak is more like a 'hint'.

As an educator Grease pencil would be a great asset in SI as well. As for the camera shot manager its kinda meh, mostly because we make sure our students keep it simple and render 1 camera per shot. On the plus side each 3D app had a sneak peek. Thats a step in the right direction ;)

max - about frecking time to make vp usable. Im bored to restart max evertime I need to switch back to directx cause nitrous became unusable after you put first key.
maya - mmh I thought grease pencil was in maya for years?
si - well...just a sneak peak...cool, just I hope it's not one of main features.

+1 for me too. Softimage definitely got the best song out of the 3.
