Softimage is too cool to die. I know there are people who want to recode XSI. If even the few persistent folks here give up, or if this last community/forum (see EOL topic) disappears, it will undermine their efforts.

I come back to it and try to find again a time to study it... but it's only for a personal project and after coming back on Maya/Max for a short project (2 months... Maya is very a shot and 3DS Max is too bad of Maya) I appreciate a lot XSI and Houdini. Unfortunetelly XSI not have more markets so I focus more of my energies on Houdini!talent103 wrote: 19 Feb 2022, 04:30 After so many years away from Softimage I am doing a personal project in it again. It is amazing how much I have forgotten. It's coming back to me tho. Its worth it because MAYA is such a shit show. I may have some stupid soft questions one day. its not that I am a newbie its that time made me forget.

Really, it can't be that they just "invent" this "NEW feature" by their own...Can it?
BTW. "base point" is still a ambiguous name

Softimage XSI is the most tactile, 'in the hand' feeling software Ive ever used. Feels close to actually using your hands to manipulate things.

I have never given up. In fact, I want this product resurrected and back in action again. I had gotten the Educational Creative Suite years ago, probably the 2010 version, and recently, the 2014, but I have thwarted by the fact that identi-te.com/autodesk no longer existed, so I don't know how to verify its authentication code and get the product key. If you can better explain this, please do so because I want to learn it, use it, and restore as the premiere software in the industry again.

They won't merge Layout and modeler in the present 2025. This doesn't annoying me at all.matevil wrote: 23 Mar 2025, 20:15thanks, I'm waiting for the update and I hope they merge them in 1 modulewireframex wrote: 23 Mar 2025, 17:59Exactlymatevil wrote: 23 Mar 2025, 13:29
