Undocumented Commands and Attributes
It is an old subject that in SI there are a lot of undocumented pieces, but anywhere plainly it wasn't discussed. For example, what it is possible to take from PaintTextureTool command(Python "Application.PaintTextureTool ()") and what it in general the such had to be? I didn't find any information in SDK docs. Maybe someone knows something else?

Sadly, it looks like a pretty useful tool

Not sure what it does now, print the UV in the status bar? (Or maybe that's an other tool called the "texture probe") The interactive tool SDK now can probably be used to write something like this. It's just the weight paint tool (which uses raycasting) in a special mode, if I recall.

Yes, it Print UV. It is interesting how to create and change texture maps, if to create custom tool. It is possible only in FxTree?

Re: Undocumented Commands and Attributes
Still other question. How in SI it is possible to set interactive transform Pivot Point position by command? Or get this values. TranslatePivot command has no effect if I manually move Pivot (I suspect that exists two different Pivots). It is necessary for me for realization own Relative transforms with keyboard input of values. For this purpose it is necessary to know Pivot X Y Z

The object center and the pivot are not the same thing.AlexanderM wrote:Still other question. How in SI it is possible to set interactive transform Pivot Point position by command? You can get the pivot parameter values, for example:
Code: Select all
si = Application
si.TranslatePivot( si.Selection, 5, 0, 0 )
o = si.Selection(0)
print( o.pposx.Value )

Command has no effect if I manually move Pivot (Alt key or RMB Edit Pivot). Try to manually move and than apply command to change position. Center is still in center of BBox.

Re: Undocumented Commands and Attributes
That's the way it goes I guess.
Unselect the object and select it again, and then run the script command.

Re: Undocumented Commands and Attributes
that pivot only exists in the transform tool and you can't script it. There is a preference in the Transform Properties to have the transform tool modify the object's pivot.AlexanderM wrote:Command has no effect if I manually move Pivot (Alt key or RMB Edit Pivot). Re: Undocumented Commands and Attributes
Modify Object Pivot option is switched on on the last screen. "that pivot only exists in the transform tool and you can't script it"- I think that it is the answer which I look for. Thanks for the help and explanation
