wau, really impressive amount of work done here. i liked this series so much when i was a kid :)
i think the look of mechanical stuff is good, but characters (especially humans) are a little bit too cg for me. i guess using only two colors in toon shader without gradient would help.

damn, now i can't get that opening song out of my head :)

I'd like to think the mechanical stuff comes out a little better.. i find it easier.

almost done..one more measly control panel.

I think splinter will be on the chopping block next for a complete and utter redesign from scratch.

Hitting the 16 minute mark soon.. only 6:20 more to go.

This was all started as an endurance test... i always start so many projects, most get left unfinished...i think this is the longest i've stuck with anything.. I'd like to think from the 7:00 mark in it started to look a little better than the first 6 minutes did.

But when I finish, it'll be time to go back and figure out how to fix and improve, starting with models...so I hope in two months or so everyone will take a chance to watch and comment one step at a time :)

it'll probably take a year just to improve on all this when it's finally done. but hope to reach the 17:00 mark by the middle of november. allot of the backgrounds get re-used in these next few shots so it makes it a bit simpler. Once the 17:00 mark is done, about 4:50 will remain, not including credits which i also plan to redoo.

The first step in fixing things is to figure out what is wrong with the basic turtle model and how to improve that so it can get smooth animation. then on to April Shredder Splinter and Krang. I'd also love to upload the models somewhere and choose one scene to upload, so that a proffesional animator can show me how they'd do things. maybe that would help streamline the fix ups a bit..

updated shots with the last few scenes.. another 24 shots till the 18 minute mark, and then it'll be 4:20 seconds of episode left. When this is done, i'll be looking for your opinions on how to clean up the models, and THEN, it'll be going back to the introduction for a 3rd time and try and make it as CLOSE as possible to the real thing in CGI.
