Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite Ultimate 2014
Priced from:
£7,500.00

From Autodesk Store.
Sorry, what I meant was, if you upgrade to a suite, then what is the annual subscription maintenance price?

Yeah, it is. The studio I work in decided to get two additional seats of Maya. They figured the cheapest way to do that is to buy SI and upgrade it to the full Suite :))

He stayed one "future is bright" comment away from making this a total déjà vu.

I'm sorry to revive this thread but I was seeing some videos of AD Masterclasses and found one that might be of help to those wishing to transition or learn Maya.

I must add I haven't watched yet. Here's a brief synopsis.
From Softimage to Maya and Back Again

The workflow between Softimage and Maya is now very easy. This opens up a whole new way to be able to use Maya: for making FX work easier to pull off and more artist friendly. This session will show users how to create a model in Softimage using it's excellent modeling tools, sculpt it and paint it in Maya, and then using Softimage and ICE, render out a cool effect of turning this high res model to smoke (or from smoke into a solid model). The easy workflow between the two apps makes it a breeze to send elements to Maya and back again to add in effects and details into both the model and the textures, so that the transition from solid to smoke works well.
