alright, i think i'm over thinkin this, but maybe someone can help...

I want to shape animate this slice over ten frames. I would like to use the same cube this image is on now. Can I animate the texture image changing from one image to the next, so I can keep the same cube, or will i have to re-produce these slashes on ten different cubes, re-draw the last shape animation and move forwad that way? That'll be a much bigger pain in the ass to do..

thanks :)

R2 D2 has been taking up alot of my time in the last few months.

now that he is mostly finished, it's time to try and get back into this. So much for the vaunted linked in. Sent this off to a few animation professionals at DW, pixar, etc, hoping they could give me some pointers or reviews, so far no one's written back a month later ;o)...

new turtle blimp model.

Trying to get back into this now that $10,000's worth of R2D2 is finally complete.

The first 40 seconds are finished. This is the third and LAST time I will be re-making the intro. With my current skill level, it's as close as I can get.
I've got 9 scenes left, and then something that started as an endurance test in 2010 will be done for the last time.

As for the actual episode fixes, i am doing those out of order. I'll start working on the first ten minutes only. Those need it the most. maybe that'll be polished up by the end of the year, and it'll be done.

I joined up on linked in. I forwarded the vimeo link, hoping to get some kind of reviews from the people who work on my favorite animated movies. Ice Age, Paranorman...Wall-E, etc. sadly, no one ever got back to me. It's hard to improve without feedback :). IWas kind of hoping the views would go through the roof once finished and people would be commenting out of the wood work, good or bad. only 200 views on youtube though :/..

later!

You may be happy to know that Micheal Bay is working on a TMNT movie, staring none other then; Megan Fox.

you say that like it's a good thing. This movie is going to suck so bad thanks to fox and bay, it'll make venus demilo next mutation look like a godsend :). ugh.

First 40 seconds finalized. except for anorexic arm April, I think this is as good as I can make this look given my current skill level, and that it is only one person doing it.

I had to change some poses around in some places.... I've found when things don't move, or move less in 2D, it doesn't look all that good in CGI HD.
7 more shots, and the intro for a third and last time is done

A few minor fix ups, and the intro is forever done. I can't make it any better on my current skill level. By Friday, I will start on actual episode fixups...

That really is fascinating to watch, just to see how different people work and the techniques used in the modeling is very cool especially when sped up like that!
