Of the list Bryce (weird interface, be warned) and Sculptris. Unreal and Unity for game. Sketchup for architecture.

Blender still the way to go for a all around 3D DCC software. Hard to beat, free and modern (in term of development).

TrueSpace 4 (Caligari was bought by Microsoft and they stop development at TrueSpace 7.6 which was released for free to the community before they closed shop. TrueSpace is still available via download and is maintained by a community of fans and developers to 7.61 beta 8)

Fractal Designs Poser V1 (at that time only three models, the manikin and the basic male/female body) The intent was to give artist a basic figure to practice drawing or use as reference for your art as an alternative to live drawing using a model. Poser is now owned by Smith Micro Software and is available for purchase via their website (V11.1 as of this writing).

Bryce3D and Ray Dream 3D (which was later combined with Infini-D to become Carrara).
Bryce has an odd interface but the results were good at that time for a hobbyist/beginner.
RayDream 3D was an introductory 3D software for beginner/hobbyist.
Bryce, Carrara and Hexagon are now owned by DAZ3D and are available on their website at a reasonable price.

Kai Power Tools and Fractal Design Painter4 (not 3D software but good old stuff). As you can see I still have my Paint Can.
I had also PhotoShop version 3 and it was a nice upgrade to my old Deluxe Paint II. Painter is now owned by Corel.
I am still a heavy user of Corel Painter, One of my favorite program to use on a WACOM tablet or screen.

XSI Books over time. I always was jealous of MAX and MAYA as every new version brought a plethora of books, not so for Softimage which, IMHO, contributed to its downfall.

3D Studio Max 2 book (I started with 3D Studio at the office, MS-dos version, limited GUI, all command lines BTW, a throwback of AutoCAD days. I was glad when the first 3DS Max version with a better GUI arrived.)

LightWave 6 and 7 books
Lightwave was my first, personally owned program. I did not mind switching between the modeler and layout module. I used LW until 7.5, that's when I switch to Softimage and never looked back.

Alias Maya 6 circa 2004, got this from a game company that went bankrupt during their fire sale auction. $20 ( Never installed it, don't even know which version this one is or if it need a dongle.) 2 years later, Alias was assimilated by AD
