FCurve Editor annoying - keeps deselecting when scrubbing

If I have an fcurve or points on the fcurve selected, and then scrub the timeline in either the main layout or the animation editor, my fcurve gets deselected. If I lock the animation editor it remains selected. I don't want to lock it though, as I have to refresh it every time I select something new.

It seems like a noob question. Am I missing a button somewhere? Softimage 2013 and 2013sp1. I'm sure the previous versions didnt do this, and 2014 doesn't.

Ok I reset my user account, and it worked fine. I copied all my plugins back and it started again. I removed my plugins one by one and it turned out that when V-Ray was removed, the behaviour returned to normal. I then renamed the whole new user account from .bak to the original and got rid of the new one I had just created, and restarted Softimage, and even with V-Ray in there and everything the way it was before, the problem is no longer there. Any ideas of why this may have occured in the first place

I see my colleague has the same issue. I've tried the whole process on her pc, but as soon as V-Ray is placed back in her addon folder, the fcurve issue begins, so I don't know how to resolve the issue on her machine, and don't know why its fixed on mine.

Chaos Group responded to my query on their forum, and the latest update 1.6.11 fixes the issue as long as you don't have V-Ray proxies in your scene, which I don't. Good news
