ICE Syflex problem (Mesh setup like a game character?)

Post by Rez007 » 31 Jul 2012, 02:34

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to use ICE Syflex on my character and I am having some issues. Currently, my character is setup like that, of lets say the Assassins Creed main character (one mesh), where my character wears a coat/cloack and I am just wanting the ends of the sleeves and the lower part of the coat to have Syflex used in simulation. What I tried so far is this: Making just lower sleeves and trying to pin that (using point clusters like it says in the documents) around where the lower sleeve starts to the arm of the main coat - think of one coat modeled and then I seperated the lower sleaves to be a seperate mesh from the main coat. That seems to work somewhat, but the pinned area lags behind when I move the biped arm and doesn't stick to the vertices of the main coat arm. I would try to use a weightmap, but I have no idea on where to link that (or set that up rather) in ICE Syflex...sorry for the confussion up above, but any help or alternate method would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
