fractal node crashes 2015 SP2

Hi,

could anyone please check for me if this very weird behavior is reproducable:

- open new scene
- create box (or whatever)
- open shader tree (7)
- drag fractal node into tree

My Soft (2015 sp2) crashes 100% on this, and instantly.

I've tried a couple of Geforce driver versions (from 355.xx to 388.xx), no difference. Also did a runonce.bat to no avail. If anyone can test this on their system for me, much obliged.

-Jasper

XSI 2012 - 64bit - win10 - newest drivers - render tree without and with shader ball : works

Maybe because of missing UV - try to create a UV on it first

Thanks for testing Wolfgang!

With or without UV's, with or without shaderball, always instant crash here.

Got it - uninstall Redshift, problem gone. I'm going over to their forum...

OK, I've got 2.5.41 (latest) and tested by going back to 2.5.30. I'll try 2.5.25 tomorrow. Thanks!

Lot's of problems have been reported on builds between 2.5.30 and 2.5.41 in the RS forums. For now find a build that works for you and stick to it.

Hi Jon, 2.5.29 does indeed not have the problem, 2.5.30 must be the one where it broke - sadly, it also introduced new proxy architecture and is not backwards compatible. I'm looking into possibility of rebuiling my scene with re-exports of proxies, hope nothing else has been changed irreversibly.
