all of a sudden in the last two days, when i click on this, it crashes the program.


new model, new scene, old scene, crashes no matter what..

any ideas?

maybe you have some custom shader that when is being read causes the crash, try to remove the whole softimage folder in c:\users\yourname\Autodesk\whatever softimage version you have, or if you recall havin installed some custom shader, try to remove these first.

i dont remember where shaders goes, sometimes its addons, sometimes is dll, sometimes is compound, so you need to do this by trial and error. check if you have some custom shaders.

what's "FS" ?

it's whatever that little button is next to the wire color tab on the lower left.

and now i'm getting new errors just starting up the program. the preset manager window doesn't work at all now, whether it's a new scene or an old scene.
