Essential plugins...

It probably would be a good idea to compile a list of essential plugins.
What plugins (that are still available) for Softimage are deemed essential?
What do you think?
:-?

I don't know, but I'd love to have everything on RRay.de put in one massive ZIP file.

I'd be heartbroken if that site ever went down

Don't worry, no plans of taking it offline any time soon.

The big zip download is something I actually planned to do with one of the next updates. Along with a netview addon to access it.

The only plugin which I have permanently installed is UVStamp, if that's the definition of essential.

I cant live happy days without mCleaner,,

and im specifically bound with a part of it (that i have also in script),, i talk about removing left over points with valance<=2 i call them lonely points. Lonely points can have many causes for example dissolve of a part of an edge-loop etc, or a simple add edge tool when you simply forget to undo first click.

The amount of extra TIME needed without this tool, when you have done a tone of operations before, to FIND with naked eye click and SELECT and DELETE lonely points on top of edges in a very dense situation is CRAZY. In HR models sometimes it becomes a task that that feels like not meant for human beings.

When i got this functionality i improved alot, managed to focus on topology, instead of looking for pins in a forest, finished some models from the past etc.. And that is only one small part of m cleaner

If somebody locks me in a cell with SI and no m_cleaner i will learn programming first to re-create my fav part at least!

A whole packet with them all would be amazing! Like a major service pack for SI.

I'm biased because I wrote it, but I do use mSymm all the time for character modeling. (btw, I hope I can release an updated version next month)

From the tools I haven't write, I use Incremental Save (a modified version) every time I use Softimage, Multi-Importer (import with drag & drop), and MX_Roundish every now and then too. (Warning: It breaks your UV).

Lately in our current project (Real Time Toon Shading) we are using User Normal Translator from my friend Gotetz:
https://github.com/Gotetz/UserNormalTranslator

And thanks for mentioning mCleaner (This one still has a bug that I haven't fixed yet! ><; hopefully next month)
