Already mentioned on FE forum, anyway here it is again - ICE compound has an input for SRT (xfo in FE) of external object like null, allowing to scale the ''catcher" to something more comfortable for modeling in SI, than usual UV projection inside 0 - 1 range. These things are just to match SRT settings I already had in SI sample.
Definitively, someone will find FE Canvas Standalone (considering all available nodes) as much less forgiving than ICE and especially Houdini, but that level IMHO, actually fits to such, developing type of app. On other side, no big deal to create a set of user friendly compounds for use in specific 3d - from what I sow from upcoming FE for Modo, trained and experienced professionals are working on that, already.
