Hi all

q1: when rendering out a depth pass as .zpic files, it is necessary to change the Depth pass name extension to exactly match the name of the pass main channel (so usually I am changing *Depth* to *Main* using Bulk Rename Utility) in order to get After Effects to see the zpic files... is there any way to get Softimage to do this for me, or otherwise automate this?

q2: I'm sure it is possible to get Softimage to create folders for each pass or render channel, as I saw a post on it ages ago on xsiBase, but xsiBase is no more... and I haven't been able to figure out how to do it... could someone fill me in? It would be a big time saver...

You see the resolved path, should be easy to do by little of experimenting. Anyway could be something like:
my_subfolder/[Pass]_[Framebuffer]
or
my_subfolder/[Framebuffer]/[Pass]
Perhaps it's good idea to create an template scene, having all these tweaks, and start with this one for each new project, or merge existing stuff into.
