hey

i wondering if you guys could help me out. i have a cloud sim made with ice, pretty simple, but i need to project an image on to it. not sure how to go about it.

i tried using a grid with transparency and casting it onto the point cloud but the image wasn't clear at all. i also tried using some FG to see if i could color the volume but again not dice. if there any help or example would be a great help.

thanks

I really do not mind cross posting, but please tell us so if you do
and seeing this has apparently been solved "elsewhere",
you could have spared a minute to come back to notify us, a solution had been found.
;)

i got an answer from xsi base.
adding the image using a slide projection node in the render tree for the light, after that

i had to bring the look up table to full light ray traced and i got all the detail.,

thanks Mattmos for the slide projection node hint.

cheers
