My problem is that when using pywin, items in the autocomplete list are in Japanese. Has anyone faced this problem before? Do you have any suggestions to fix it ?
I'm using Softimage 2012 and the default pyhton version that comes with it.

i think it's because pywin is not compiled in unicode, so when it's running from xsi, the combo box created is unicode and needs unicode strings, and the pywin is giving it non-unicode strings. the result is random garbage, not specifically japanese

Is it fixable?

pywin would probably need to be recompiled in Unicode
