Version 2.0. This compound uses Nulls to control and create the wavy deforms. The nulls can be scaled to stretch the wave out or bulge them into more toon-like waves. I put a scene together, and left the compound open for people to explore. Take note that the ICE tree should be under post-simulation. Works nicely in conjunction with Amaan Akram's aaOcean Suite.

Cool, Big thanks to Jonatha Hau Yoon for making this small change for me.

Im not really experiencend in ice and i tried to poke around but without success, any idea on how to fix this?

Hi barbapapa,

The quickest way to make it work with aaocean, is to go into the wave curl compound and connect the y between the 3D Vector to Scalar - Scalar to Vector.

That section checks if the points on the mesh are below or equal to 0. If yes, then it moves them to 0. This helped to get rid of the dip that was created by the wave curl.

I need to find some time to make this work better.

Let me know if it helped.

Regards
Werner

Download it from here
i am sorry, i am always the last one to understand how things work,
but when i try to download from the second wave curl there's only code lines displayed, no actual zip file to download.
can you tell me if that means the link is not working and i have to be satisfied with wave curl version oct 2009 ?
thank you

No, what that means is the following: it's a file, which your browser identifies as a XML-document.
To save this kind of file you'll have to click the link with your right-mouse-button and from the appearing menu click "Save target as"/"Save linked content as"/"Save link as" (different browser call it differently).
In this specific case it's a ".xsicompound" file, but the same applies for ".xsiaddon" files and some other XML-based Softimage documents.
Just make sure it's saved with the correct extension, some browsers save these kind of files with a ".xml" extension.
If it does, rename the extension to the correct one, which you can get from the URL of the document.
