First of all, this thread starts with:
The following thread will be a list of available Softimage Training Video Resources on the web.
This list is, and will never be complete, but we'll try anyway! ;-)
:-B

But I'll add your links to the list.

Oh... and the AD Youtube video channel is on the top of the 'commercial training' list.
You have to check that yourself, I'm not going to maintain a list of those videos present at that channel.

Is there any Softimage training on that website?

If not, this is not the place to post, as this is a Softimage training thread. You should then start a new thread in the training section.

This seems to be a terrible mixup. If you enter the site using the provided link, you're in the English site, where you can't find them. If you enter the French site they miraculously show up: www.formacd.com
(which makes sense, if there available in French only) ;)

The link to the Softimage XSI 4 "Production Series" DVD set on FileFactory for download. (Animating, Modeling/Texturing, Rendering & Concepts, Simulation) seems to not be working. It just has XSI4_Production_DVD_1-3.jpg 648.41 KB.

Sadly, this probably means, the time seems to have come to say a fond farewell to these filefactory files, luckily the youtube uploads by AceMastermind seem to be still available...

I'll have a look at the other sets as well.
If they're in the same state, the FF links will be removed from the first page.

Most of the videos are on YouTube now anyway, only the scenefiles might be interesting to keep available somewhere.
If they're not that big, I might upload them onto a public Dropbox or Live folder.
No promises though.. ;)

Also, any new training releases, please post here, so we can keep the list (sort of) up to date :D :ymhug:

Just to bump this thread again... ;)

<prof. Farnsworth voice>
Good News Everyone....
</prof. Farnsworth voice>

I added all latest CMIVFX training to the list of commercial training. There's a new one out, going deep into rigging for Maya and Softimage. Looks very interesting. And Gustavo has been busy crancking out training on ICE and Lighting.

That's all folks!

rob

P.S. As usual, if there's more or interesting training for Softimage and not on the list yet, please post here and I'll add it to the list.

Hi all

I'm very grateful for all the work that's been put in to make all this training material available

However I have one problem - I'm trying to download the xsi7TrainingProject that is available on Filefactory:

http://www.filefactory.com/f/09044a8db0 ... jectVideos

... but when the downloads complete, the .rar files won't unpack properly (I'm using FreeRarExtractFrog on Win 7 Pro 64bit)

There seems to be a duplicate upload of these project files at:

http://www.filefactory.com/f/63f2eeb31c94786c/

... but the 8th download has gone missing from Filefactory

I really need these project files!!!

It would bea real help if someone could get them to me or or fix these downloads or she me some alternatives

I can't imagine I'm the only one trying to use them...

You might first want to try some other unpacking software on the file you succesfully downloaded. I use 7-Zip for all my unzipping needs and it unpacks rar files as well. No harm in trying. Oh, and it's free (as in: Open Source)...
