clearing out shape animation

Post by opentarget » 06 Apr 2010, 12:45

im full of questions lately!!! sorry but heres another :p

im having trouble clearing face animation from the shape manager.
the only way i have found to do it is to go into each shape in the manager and deleting the animation keys manually as apposed to just removing animation like i do with the body rig...im sure im just new to this and missing something but any help would be great as this is eating up time i dont really have.

Hi..!

Go into the mixer right below the scene root..dig down under the "tracks" until you find the "track list". here you can select the tracks you would like to reset. Select the tracks in multi-mode and press "remove animation". To see, what is happening, select your object which has the shape animation on it, press alt+0 to open up the animation mixer. Double click on the shape-cluster-clip and you should see all the animated shapes...hope that helps...there might be more solutions, this is the one I use ;)

cheers,
oliver

thanks man fair play!

just on a side queastion, how would you normaly go about setting up a look at constraint for a set of eyes? i have it working well enough with the eyes parented to nulls then the nuls constrainded to a shape that i can move about the place... but every once in a while the eyes go cross eyed or just move about the place like mad!

ahh craft your a legend!
thats close to what i had but i guess the lack of an up vector in my setup was causing it to louse its place.
brilliant thanks a million!
is that a vid you made yourself or is it from some training material?
