Transfer motion from null skeleton to rig?

Post by minilogoguy18 » 11 Jul 2013, 03:07

Is there a way to transfer animation from a simple null skeleton imported into softimage to a rig? The rig I made is based on the same skeleton so proportions and all that are similar, just wanna know how I can transfer the animation to the rig to edit the animation and improve on it.

Have a look at how MOTOR works, that should do the job. If the skeleton matches exactly and the elements are named the same, you could even just save off an animation action and apply it to the new rig directly.

If skeleton matches exactly but names are not the same you could still create a mapping template to tell xsi what should affect what...
