Hello guys,
1. I was animated running cycle of Reindeer.
2. Then I plot animation ( Write Geometry Cache ) ---> PC2 .
3. Export him as OBJ file.
4. Open New Scene.
5. Import Reindeer OBJ file ( I click into menu Hierarchy : Null as Parent ).
6. Load Geometry Cache on Reindeer mesh.
7. In Animation Mixer I set up Extrapolation After --> Cycles : 3 times
8. Everything working so well.
Problem:
When I move my Null object to another position and key him on time line my Reindeer mesh move with him ( witch is normal as a child of Null ) - but when I press PLAY button on time line mesh of Reindeer quickly move on old position and continue play animation as he not a child of Null witch I move in another place.
I was try almost everything to make mesh of Reindeer to listen position of Null as a parent but not successfully.
Please help and sorry for my poor english.
Cheers

Re: Geometry Cache ( Point Cache - PC2 ) - problem !
Dunno how to do it without plugins, but check out free addon KP point cache tools, it works the way you want (cached mesh parented to animated null to do offsets)
Re: Geometry Cache ( Point Cache - PC2 ) - problem !
Thnx Origin!
This is great plugin ! I like that u can put in Sample rate lover value then 1.
But I didn't find options for Extrapolation After - I can't make more then one cycle
run of my Reindeer. I think that this plugin don't have that option.
In Softimage 2010 u can write point cache if u go on Animate tab ---> Tools ---> Plot --->
Write Geometry Cache then u can choose FORMAT instead ICE Cache use PC2.
Best regards!
