Hi,
Does a solidify plugin exist for Soft2012?
Thank you.

Re: Solidify for 2012?
A very decent version is part of xsi now if we are both thinking on the same solidify tool .. just create an ice tree on a poly mesh and drag the node Apply_Thickness to it, connect the ports.
I have lazily started playing around with a script to fit into my toolbar to do it (not that people haven't already done better, just have a free space for a button and is something I want hehe).. Just copy paste into script editor and select a poly mesh / some polys / a poly cluster and hit run.. should kinda work... maybe .
All it does justnow is clone the object (or extract the selected polys / polygon cluster from an object and clone them), then add an ice tree to the clone, add an apply thickness node, and connect, leaving you with a single layer mesh (hidden if you had selected polys / cluster) to work on while having a live update on the thickness result until you feel like going final and freezing the clone.
Edit: sorry for lack of comments in the code.. my version with the comments doesn't seem to want to work just now.. as far as I remember this is stable tho famous last words:P

Hi Spookymunky,
you script could be very usefull if i could find "Apply_Thickness" in Softi 2012 SP1.. It seems that this option came in later version..
Thank you for your help.

that should be the same compound, kinda.. I think.. I dunno .. has same options as the newer xsis
edit: hmm.. my simple script could turn into a very long script to re-create the ice tree that the thickness compound contains... bugga... not sure if its even ethical ?

There is a version of apply thickness by Guillaume Laforge at http://rray.de/xsi/. Look for "ice modelling tools", I think it's the pre version of the 2012 AP one...SpookyMunky wrote:oh sorry dude, it may have been added in 2013 sp1 ... there is hope though , I think... lemme google a bit....... heh, is on this forum ..funky75 wrote:Hi Spookymunky,
