How to bake or freeze point cache geometry?

Post by theboykidney » 20 Jun 2013, 12:54

HI,
have some geometry that is reading a point cache [its not animated]. Is there anyway to bake that in, or freeze it in teh cached position so i can treat it like normal geometry and deform it?
Cheers,
tbk.

Is it a mixer cache source? If you were using an older style point reader that would show up as a freezable operator in your stack. You could clone it and freeze the clone? Or use ice to set points on a new mesh getting point data from your source.
