Duplicate polygons op in case of copying polys inside one mesh.
ICE topo merge in case of copying from one to another mesh. But you would need to script UV/other maps copying.
Would be cool if someone could write one-click solution for this, so we all can forget about Merge op.

Thanks, Duplicate does better than symmtrize :) The CTRL+D was getting me Extrude Op all the time, so I thought it was about it, but actually clicking the operation did it.

Yeah boolean seems to wipe out the UVs :/

Cheers

as far as i can tell thats tweak with prop on, but still cant tell how he pushed/twisted with it. i AM missing something here :<
He's talking about the Brush Tool in the Hair panel. Works with vertexes in general. Assign it to a hotkey so you don't have to switch to the hair panel for modeling.

View Plane Proportional Transform Tool
the only thing I know about that tool is that we made it specifically for a lightwave user, can't remember which one.

I keep pressing shift with both brushes like they are going to smooth the mesh :D

The Mesh Brush manipulation system is very good. I only pitty there are no common sculpt-like operations for components. Very handy for organic models in general and specifically for blend shapes: Push, Smooth, Carve, Pinch, Restore Base Shape.

Cheers

WOT? That's brilliant, and I'm an idiot for not knowing it was there al this time

edit: and oh, if shift=smooth could be added to this, that would be even brillianter!

Is there any smooth plugins (non ICE) or scripts for XSI?
Or maybe interactive smooth tools ?
