Maya-style Blender UI

Post by Hirazi Blue » 23 Sep 2014, 11:56

Oh the irony: Blender finally makes a serious (and laudable) attempt to improve upon its interface
and the software they turn to for inspiration is Maya.
Newsflash: Maya doesn't rank high on the "User Experience" charts either, I'm afraid.

Pie menus are okay when well implemented. This is something that came from Alias. I remember using Alias Studio Tools with several mouse menu options - not pie - and it was very useful.
