While ago I've posted link to his Maya To Houdini article, now there's update, illustrated by some as usually amazing :D Maya networks, worth to checkout again.
Or, from article about c4d : "Houdini is nodes, Max is the stack, Maya is about hiding the dependency graph and failing, C4D is about parenting and tags."
