I'm on maya+softimage migration package, and still not have my EXT1 download link yet.
Why there's one package with both application ? I Suppose this is the reason... :|

It could be a region thing. In North America, the extension 1 is available

I don't seem to have it either and didn't receive the email. I also have the Maya Softimage migration license.

same here too, no mail, no download link yet. Maya+Softimage migration package.
I guess it's a region thing.

@ Daniel: do you have to make a full new install with extension or is it the same with service packs?

From the readme file:
Important Installation Notes:

This extension includes all of the fixes from the service packs that preceded it. Therefore, you do not need to download and install all of the releases in addition to this extension.

On Windows operating systems, this release patches your existing Maya 2015 software or Maya 2015 Service Pack software (any and all service pack versions). Do not uninstall Maya 2015 or an existing service pack before applying this release.

On Mac and Linux operating systems, this release is a full product install. Uninstall your existing Maya 2015 software before installing this release.

The mental ray renderer is included within the installation process for all platforms.

For users who rely on LiveUpdate, you’ll be pushed this release automatically.

Hey guys,
If you are on subscription and have the Maya + Softimage bundle, you should be entitled to Ext 1, and it should be available now (and yes it installs as a patch update on Windows). If you are not seeing it, please email me your details at jill.ramsay(at)autodesk.com and I will look into it for you.

Regards,
Jill

Ok so it was definitely not a stupid question. SP5 is a patch on Windows that works with both 2015 and 2015 Ext 1 (no need to uninstall first). For Linux and Mac, the same fixes are available in a full install but you'll need a different executable available from the subs center for the extensions in those cases.

Have fun!

hello,

I'm currently on subscription and have the Maya + Softimage bundle.
Does anybody in this case have maya 2016 extension 2 available to dowload ?
I'm asking because every extension release i've got problem and i have to contact ADSK support.

Last time, after several month of investigation (!) they send me this answer :

Since you reported this issue, we have been investigating and discussing this internally. We have received a confirmation that the extension "Autodesk Maya 2016 Extension 1 + Service Pack 5" will not be posted on Autodesk Account (this is applies to all customers with Autodesk Maya with Softimage). On the other hand, it should be available in the Application Manager.

sooo, i'm not sure if i should receive or not maya 2016 ext2.

thanks,
regards, eben
