Only the "Rendering Sandbox" makes me wonder:
- sandbox as in place for young children "to train their social skills", but mostly an excuse to get dirty, or
- sandbox as in immense virtual environment, you can wander around in for weeks, without having a clue what to do...

Well, the info about Mental rye 2011 is scanty, but the way i see it we will get the next version 93.4..5.4.324..23..43..3.4.53

Except the Face Roboto lip sinc, the other stuff is like......something that had to come with a patch, not with a final release...
Omg, Autoshit politics.... they are gonna sell "nothing" for a lot of money. Jesus! A lot more shaders to speed up and optimize the render ? Omg... wtf! ?!
They wonderful Softimage is heading on the same road as 3dsmax - one archaic soft, full of stuff/plug ins - instead of rewriting the program to be optimized and working perfectly!

Hmmm, that sounds a bit harsh...
Looks like a very solid update to me!
The "hero feature", stable/"supported" ICE Kinematics might surprise us all!
And somehow I get the feeling this is a release with updates "all around", not just one feature enhanced, but several main aspects of the software addressed by new features...
I'm going to miss the legacy particles, however...

..the guys developing SI "are good" ones and always had been "good ones". In my eyes, if this hole stuff works stable, it´s worth the subscription fee. For me, countless new features are useless, until they work properly. I think it´s been a big effort for the developers to reduce the number of bugs, which is not always an easy task. There were many of them, most users did not even noticed (only programmers did ). So let´s wait and see how everything works out.
ICE kinematics are so cool and hoping that rendering with MR works better in 2011 (well, did not 2010 just began...? )

love the ICE kinematic and that face robot things is tasty, could be super time saving for a work i did like that XD hehe
I am still at veriosn 7.01 , but hmm maybe it's time to get in the train, because despite the new feature here and here , I believe the core engine get some serious work behind the hood

Really? ICE kinematics is pretty huge.
