Re: Stephen Blair joins Solid Angle
Perfect news, glad to hear that I am also going to buy Arnold for sure:)
Re: Stephen Blair joins Solid Angle
Steve,
Congratulations on the new job. I am glad to see that Solid Angle hired you.
From previous post, it sounds like we will be see more of you in the future. I will be looking forward to seeing Arnold released and can add that I will likely support Arnold if there is any way that I can become a future customer.

Looks like we'll have to be Arnold customers to get the same great support we've been used to ;)
I wonder if we can divert our subscription funds to Solid Angle since they probably deserve it more than AD.

No no, only a Joke, I mean Arnold exist (and is one of the most eagerly awaited thing for every softimage users)
Re: Stephen Blair joins Solid Angle
I have no idea about Solid Angle's plans on releasing Arnold for smaller studios (e.g. 1 or 2 licenses)
For now, if you want to move away from MR, Vray does a perfect job on that.
And it's not that expensive either.
so... wait for Arnold, or use something else in the meantime that will do a better job than MR anyway ;)

Re: Stephen Blair joins Solid Angle
Actually either are out of my price rage. I using blender cycles and modo for my rendering need (modo crossgrade was a nice deal).
So on Arnold is a matter of curiosity, I really like the idea of doing all inside softimage great environment and workflow.
