No new ICE improvement? Seems strange... I'm quite happy about the possibilities gives by this potential news, but I was pretty sure we will see some new ICE feature (ICE hair?)
If not, really happy not only ICE are in softimage future.

Well from those few words alone we cannot know what has actually been improved.
I am pretty sure crowd sims fall under the ICE category

It would make sense if the Crowd simulation tools were ICE based! So maybe there are new ICE tools.

It's seems like SI is a cheapest package in AD bundle now

pretty interesting to read 3ds max description:

especially this: "...offers a new render pass system with integrated node-based compositing..." doesnt seem to be Composite, maybe something new. Motion graphics tools too?
