Nikaragua it is not a specific scene, look at scene you shared, when i move the knife object the distance between this object and the cloth the cut is too wide for the knife object size. It seems the radius of influence from the knife is too big.

Concerning the bad polygons i think there was a compound around to delete by polygon size, maybe it would work inj this, i will try to find it. Of course better would one that would not make possible to have U or V biogger than a certain size.

emmm...actually i DO deleting them by area size and by edge size...strange, okay i didn`t thought about it.

Ahah! but with 0 it gives me some cutting problems, it seems dependent also on speed, too fast or too slow it doesn't cut it well. Maybe more cloth detail would obviate this problem?

You mean that the knife should cut it ANYWAY - independent from the speed. touch=cut ? like this ?
hmmm...yeah, 0 gives some cut problems.
But i`ve got nice results with 0.1 and 0.01 ))) ahahaha

No it should cut based in the cloth strength not in size of the knife. If the knife tries to go trough it then it should be either a cut or a push.

One of most bizarre thing of this Lagoa setup is that sim quality option.

No, i have first to get make a list of all Lagoa scenes around. But i must say that Lagoa reminds me when i started with Realwave/flow 10 years ago. It is the same crap with a bunch of numbers that don't make what they are supposed to make or have a reliable behavior. So it doesn't surprise me at all that all your trying made it worse. It happened all the time to me.
