Nice. Looked at your scene Nika, what is the best start to make it work with various cutting objects, not just one?

1 - I got a way that is make a merge of various object but then i cannot keyframe animate a poly island.

2 -Another question is there a way to make the top of cloth to stick?

Edit Answer: it is with lagoa transform contraint

3-Is there a way to give more definition to the cloth, it cuts too big holes?

4-How did you get to 1196 in resize array?

Btw Mário Domingos went Syflex way instead of Lagoa http://lickingtheice.tumblr.com/

hmmm...something strange in a neighbourhood - commonly its converting for 30 mins, its 6 hours now waiting in line.my bad, i should`n post it too early, forgive me, friends.i think i`ll upload it at youtube...arrrr - same crap at the tube - it swallowed it, but not showing

aaand, Bullit, i understand where are you directing, but i didn`t thought deeply about it ))) it is mostly topology lesson, not simulation, i`ve taken the first thing that was working ))) so you are absolutely free to make it work the way that you want.

do lagoa have a transform constraint? wow, i didn`t know that
and i watched tha Mario`s way, but didn`t understood )))
about the way - its VERy interesting - how you did that ?

I didn't understood it also, he said he will be giving a bit more detail so i didn't spend time working in it.

To constrain just put a Lagoa Transform Constraint and a null linked to it an put it below your breakable structure. The null dimensions scaling that you give will more or less define the points that will be fixed to it. Of course you can move it and the whole cloth goes.

I am seeing that the sphere cuts the cloth if moved but the cloth hitting the object doesn't cut it.

wow, really, transform constraint works, but it little bit tricky to find the exact value for the Elastic Breaking Point - it is tearing off from constraint with the same nice way, like from blade ))) i think it should be solved with per point Elasticity Breaking Point attribute - paint it with weightmap for example )))

absolutely correct - the blade object must be swinging with some force and velocity

aaar, you are editing your posts ))) all of the questions will be answered when the vimeo servers will wake up, its kind tricky to explain from the middle on fingers )))

I don't think that is the reason. I tried with what appeared the same force and it didn't happend.

Btw is there a way to give more detail/definition to the cloth?

oooh, did you tried my scene or yours? Maybe should tweak the Elastic Breaking Point at Lagoa Setup?
in mine all working, i checked again.

Btw is there a way to give more detail/definition to the cloth?

i thought about it, yeah, but totally forgot, since no one is interested - more detail, yeah, it could be done without the
heaving the calculations - but i concentrated on the ripping edge - i mean the overall look is the lagoas work,
but i can do a rip with details-details )))) want it ?

My scene was all based on yours i just tweaked and put the constraint.

Yes, i wanted to have a more detailed look when ripping the cloth, since there are some polygons that give a bad look.

okay Hirazi )))

Bullit, can you send a scene to me, i will look. and can you send an example, what look of the rip you want EXACTLY, cause the bad polygons are appearing because of non-polished algorythm ))) i actually expected that someone will suggest an idea for it ))) ahahahaha
