Sierpinski and self-similar sets...

Post by Hirazi Blue » 02 Mar 2013, 22:47

In her apparently ongoing exploration of fractals (see this earlier post), Sue Sauer posted an entertaining blog entry on the topic of self-similar sets and how to create them in ICE: Sierpinski and self-similar sets...

Aloha all. Yeah been looking at fractals for about 2 months now - mostly after work -. Started with Sierpinski and am now branching out into space filling curves, so watch this space ;)

Hi Sue,

Cool stuff, we should compare notes one day. Thanks for the post.

Get Grahamef last compound on the Mandelbrot, you will enjoy the simplicity.

Thanks for the writeups. Interesting how tiny the ICE trees for these are. It makes sense though, I can get lost these mandelbulb videos for an hour, and they're also based on simple formulas like y=sin(x*e squared*etc(z*bla))

Good :)

Sue you might want to put them up on Vimeo too, there's a large community of SI experiments, Tutorials, and work.
