Hi!

So I finally got it to work, a simple compound that 'glues' a mesh to a point cloud. To illustrate this, I've made a scene using Lagoa Jello to deform an artful model of mine ;)

I've attached the compound too if someone wants to experiment.

And now the improved version :) I'm no more using a single point but rather a set of 4 points in the target point cloud, allowing for a more precise deformation therefore requiring less points in the Lagoa Simulation.

I also attach the revisited compound.

Cheers for sharing!
It's good to have an alternative to the "closed source" advect mesh compound.

Thanks for looking at it!

rray, I don't think it is like Advect. When I looked at it, advect is creating a point per vertex and binding it. Those vertices would not therefore form a 3d grid and thus would not work very well in a simulation like the Jello. (In addition this compound can be used with any simulation, not just lagoa, although I have not found another example yet than the Jello :) ).

I love your compound! Thanks for the effort.

I see, thanks for the explanation.
Great compound & videos, too
*if you don't mind I'm going to use that last one as a thumbnail for Glue's entry at rray.de :D
