emPolygonizer2 version 2.0 is released !

Post by Mootzoid » 18 Aug 2010, 21:21

Hey folks,

I am very happy to announce the official release of emPolygonizer2 version 2.0 for Softimage 2011 SP1 (Win32, Win64, Linux64).
This version 2.0 has a whole bunch of improvements compared to its predecessor.

Image

Here some of the main features:
  • Dynamic Plottable Octree instead of a stupid bounding volume.
  • Support of Lagoa Multiphysics data.
  • Improved "Simple as Primitive" algorithm.
  • Improved workflow.
  • ultra fast quadrangulation and improved smoothing algorithms for nicer meshes.
  • Vertex Colors finally work correctly.
  • 2D / 3D Motion Blur.
  • User Normals.
  • ..and about two dozens of further little features to make the hard life of a 3D artist a little easier :)
Here a few screenshots of the release video that was specially made for the occasion.

Have fun!

:-bd Neat, way to go! Awesome presentation also
The ripping thick cloth thing rocks. This should be bundled with Lagoa.

Have you had any job offers from AD yet?
Starts to look/feel like a must-have plug-in...
(which means, even I will finally have to purchase it...) ;)
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

Amazing work Eric, again....

Great video showing off the possibilities, and a bit of Lagoa for the ones who don't run beta's ;)

I am not promising anything here, but I might be working on something going into that direction ;)

Stay tuned,

*-:) Cool! I worked on Rayfire on Max lately. It acutally is a fracture tool plus PhysX engine.
With a set of rules for different fracturing.
It allowed a great and fast work.

btw it isn't limited to particles only. For example, you can create plasma gun :) with it. (That's a EmPolygonizer 1.5, mesh from curves, curves were created from ICE strands).

Cheers

You say that because you probably never used it and you dont know what is capable of, how good is it and you're forgetting that you get sometimes free updates, so your comment is completely out.
Support is awesome, cost is really fair for the tool you get and for the amount of work to produce this tool.
