studioNest @ FMX

Post by Hirazi Blue » 03 May 2010, 22:31

If you happen to be @ the FMX in Stuttgart next Friday, the following workshop might be interesting:
Friday, May 07 - 15:00-15:00 - Raum Ulm:
studioNEST: OpenSource 3D Tools for Autodesk Softimage: Melena and Rigz
presented by Helge Mathee and Javier Verdugo
studioNEST is a new digital film studio based in Barcelona and one of the few studios to release all inhouse developed tools as OpenSource. In this speech we will show some of our newest technologies, including Melena, a solution for styling hair based on Autodesk Softimage both for realistic as well as stylized fur. Furthermore we will show Rigz, studioNEST's rigging system, including a full biped rig, appealing both for animators as well as TDs.

I can only hope somebody will bring along a video camera and post stuff on the web later ;-)

It sounds like it's going to be a very interesting FMX
