Good question, and the answer issssss... on simulations Yes. No for the rest. Simulations have a PointVelocity attribute that enables MR to render MB.
The hacks Ive investigated to fix this are ugly and non-intuitive and, therefore I have not implemented them. Arnold and 3Delight can render this just fine. MR implementation should just do the same, in my opinion (at least have the option to do so)...
This is a good time to put this up the priority list and find a decent workaround for the time being... thanks for bumping on this
