Spoiler Alert: NO SPOILERS ANYMORE
After yet another PM by an Autodesk employee I disabled the links to the webpages that Autodesk has deleted in the meantime
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

Re: Spoiler Alert: Softimage 2014
Well, at first glance it looks with few features. Actually they are all welcome.
I like now the possibility to use Weight maps in SyFlex Ice. It will change things in doing many kinds of simulation. (hair, flesh, cloth, etc).
New enanchements on the Crowd FX. It seems got a lot of attention as many bugs fix.
And can we say HQV is usable now?.. mmm
Maybe people expected a revolution, with lots of modeling tools, simulations tools, rendering tools, tools for tools.
Let's wait to see in the details what these new features do...

empty links ? (to me)
Re: Spoiler Alert: Softimage 2014
They removed the wikipage. Luckily there's a version system in the wiki.fabilabo wrote:empty links ? (to me)
EDIT by owei: Link removed THIS time, dear AD. Please be more careful in the future ;)
It's quite sad they are promoting the new help menu and installer as a new feature. The script editor changes must have been implemented in 5 minutes or less since it's based on Scintilla. I don't see any groundbreaking new features.

Re: Spoiler Alert: Softimage 2014
The pages I linked to have been removed by Autodesk.
I want to state once again the information was readily available on the Softimage WIKI. I don't feel I did anything wrong. Better yet: I know I did nothing wrong.
Thank you, Autodesk! ;)

Re: Spoiler Alert: Softimage 2014
I had big expectations by this release, due new team and the absence of the 2013 SAP
What I read is, in some cases, a (not so big at first look) improvement in all day workflow. But I hope is not all here, if yes, I can quietly remain with 2013...

The gpu stuff could be nice. But that cant be the full list of features. If it is, I feel sorry for those that keep there maintance up to date.
Re: Spoiler Alert: NO SPOILERS ANYMORE
again couple things that means something to small percentage of people...
others may say something different but there are not much reasons for upgrade to tell you honestly.... at least based on this so far

Re: Spoiler Alert: NO SPOILERS ANYMORE
But is all here? Possible? In Planet Softimage blog talked about really great things by the new team.
Re: Spoiler Alert: NO SPOILERS ANYMORE
it's a bug fix list... look like one guy work on it for 6 month, not more (i know what i'm talking about)
the only thing is good is the "frame object in pass list" (wanted it a lot) but, fixed in... 2 hours ?
I hope it's not a joke...

Re: Spoiler Alert: NO SPOILERS ANYMORE

Re: Spoiler Alert: NO SPOILERS ANYMORE
Is impossible is all here.
I find some similarities with the latest Toxik (Compositor) release and update...
This is a bit interesting for my need:

Hi there!
THIS time we removed the links, but as long as no hacking, disrespectful or illegal stuff in any concerns (how defined in our rules and guidelines) is linked, I don´t see any reason for deleting links like this in the future.
So please, AD, watch you steps ;)
cheers,
oli
PS: by the way, did I ever mention, how ridiculous those "we are one year ahead, how fancy, we are in the future and we are so cooool" naming conventions for software is?? IT IS!!
