Motion Tools 1.0

Hey guys!

As of today I'm releasing the first non-beta version of Motion Tools. (which is a small collection of tools that aims to aid Motion Graphic work being created inside Softimage)
I'm finally happy with features and stability, and have addressed the lack of documentation and samples.

You can download the 2012 and 2013 versions and sample scenes at http://www.gustavoeb.com.br/mtools. You will also find the documentation, tutorials and a little spot to report bugs there...
Ill leave you with a video introduction better explaining what this is and how it works.
Cheers!

Ps: It is always valuable to highlight this started here in our Community Projects :D

Thanks so much for this. I'll be using this in my testing of the Mitsuba exporter. Its gonna be super-easy to setup particle test scenes now.

Thanks again.

Well this is amazing, really great work, thanks a lot for this.
Didnt expect to find some rbd stuff, the falling text was one of the example i saw on Momentum demo scenes, really nice to see it here.

Thanks again!

Max

Just very curious after seeing your great video presentation, does you simulate stuff permits now motion blur on particles ?????
have you managed motion blur working on non simulated ice trees

Thanks,
Noël

Good question, and the answer issssss... on simulations Yes. No for the rest. Simulations have a PointVelocity attribute that enables MR to render MB.
The hacks Ive investigated to fix this are ugly and non-intuitive and, therefore I have not implemented them. Arnold and 3Delight can render this just fine. MR implementation should just do the same, in my opinion (at least have the option to do so)...

This is a good time to put this up the priority list and find a decent workaround for the time being... thanks for bumping on this :)

I've noticed that the motion blur works even if the ICETREE is set under the modeling stack, so not simulated. but to see the effect you have to increase the speed a lot. Not sure if its the correct thing to do tho.

edit, actually nvm it doesnt work on particles, i was using the geometry :D
